Welcome to Max’s Place! Locally owned and operated, we are a Café/ Restaurant/ Bakery serving delicious food and exceptional service.

With a wide variety of breakfast, lunch, and dessert options, and a different menu each day, we’ve got something for everyone. From scones and muffins to soups, salads, pizzas, and our famous cinnamon buns – our menu is catered by our Red Seal chef and made from scratch in-house daily using fresh and seasonal ingredients.

Located in the heart of downtown Cranbrook, BC, Max’s Place has been a staple for Cranbrook locals and visitors alike for over 25 years. I miss Max’s place in the morning now that we have moved to Kimberley. Stopped in on Friday to pick up a treat for another local business, the staff are always so welcoming and positive in the morning. Any of the food options from sandwiches to quiche, muffins to cookies are wicked good. Myra loves the espresso. Thanks for being awesome. On a side note the store looks amazing in the winter time with Christmas lights on the street and the windows all fogged up in the AM!

My favorite from here is the ham and cheese quiche, best enjoyed in the morning, out on the patio, with the sun warming you.

We happened upon this bakery while on a business trip to Cranbrook and we are so happy we did. They serve our favourite coffee (Kicking Horse) and even sell it by the bag. But the real highlight of this place is the service and the ah-may-zing cinnamon buns with cream cheese icing. Quite literally the best cinnamon buns and icing we have ever had, and we went ahead and ordered a dozen that we are picking up fresh tomorrow morning on our way out of town. The service was the friendliest, warmest, most helpful service we have experienced anywhere in a very long time. We will be back here every time we are back in town and we highly recommend it!
